URGENT: TEACHERS AND PARENTS-GES POSTPONES RE-OPENING DATE FOR SHS ONE STUDENTS

 

The Ghana Education Service has postponed the re-opening date for SHS one students. The students who wrote their BECE examination had their placement released about a week ago. They were to report to school on Wednesday, 10th March 2021 but the re-opening date has been rescheduled for Thursday, 18th March, 2021 and 21st March 2021. According Management of GES, though the placement of students in the various SHS across the country has in a whole been successful but there are still some students who were not able to go through the self-placement. Management is in the light of the forgoing issues giving parents and guardians additional time to to prepare the students for school and for the various schools to prepare adequately to receive the students. This was made known in a notice signed by Anthony Boateng, Deputy Director-General (Ms).

He further stated that, academic work will commence on Monday, 22nd March 2021.
