"Miraculous Escape: Fifteen Tenants Survive Three-Storey Building Collapse in Winneba"

In a dramatic turn of events, a three-Storey building crumbled to the ground in Winneba, Central Region, leaving its residents in a state of shock. However, amidst the chaos, all 15 tenants miraculously survived the disaster unscathed, according to a report by Adom News' Kofi Adjei.

The alarming incident prompted an immediate response from the Winneba Municipal Fire Service. DO2 Kwesi Hugues, the Fire Service Commander, disclosed that they received distress calls from concerned residents about the collapse of the three-Storey building and rushed to the scene.

DO2 Hugues, in an exclusive interview with Adom News, emphasized that the tenants managed to escape from the collapsing structure, but tragically, they were unable to salvage any of their belongings. Preliminary investigations conducted by the authorities revealed that the ill-fated building was constructed in an area prone to waterlogging, while the owner neglected to use quality materials.

In light of this incident, DO2 Hugues issued a stern warning to all Ghanaians, urging them to refrain from purchasing land during the dry season without thoroughly assessing the land's conditions. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of conducting visibility studies before renting a house to ensure the safety of prospective tenants.

This alarming collapse serves as a wake-up call, highlighting the pressing need for stricter regulations in the construction industry and increased vigilance among Ghanaians regarding their choice of accommodation. The fortunate survival of the 15 tenants is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity, but it also underscores the urgent need for preventive measures to avert future tragedies.
